·I think its a 14755-61 based on the images I saw and the bracelet date.
So, yeah, this happened...
The grandson posted about inheriting it from his grandfather, and I reached out. After some back and forth we agreed on a price and it arrived today.
As the story goes, his grandfather was issued this 300 in the early 1960s from the FAP when he was a Colonel. He rose to be a Major General in the FAP...the highest ranking officer!
Included with the watch were some lapel pins, and I am getting a full history and digital documents from the grandson.
In February the grandson traveled to Peru to see his grandfather who was very ill. On his deathbed he told his grandson about his watches and military documents and awards. Upon his passing the grandson found the 300 in a drawer...so yes, literally a drawer find.
As you can see, it is original and in pretty darn sweet shape. Haven't opened yet, as I don't want to risk scratching the caseback. Some decent DNA on this one.
Pretty excited to add a straight lug Omega to the collection.
@michael e had a 14755 original bezel, in nice shape, on eBay a couple of weeks ago. Wonder if it's still available?
