So many of you probably saw this on ebay last night, and it mysteriously disappeared. The seller was local to me, and I had emailed him about buying it locally. He was inundated with emails, and put a stupid BIN of $10k, and someone with a fake account bought it...ebay deleted the entire auction...don't know why, nor do I care. Anyway, he found it in a drawer last week, he had inherited it from his grandfather, but didn't realize it was in a box! His grandfather worked at GM and loved NASA and westerns. This watch was the "moon watch" and he always bragged about it, but rarely wore it. Anyway, this sucker is damn near mint, barely any scratches and a perfext patina. 4/68 bracelet code, and I have yet to pop the dust cover, but expect a later serial due to the flat bottom sweep...and yes it is a 145.012...I saw the inside of the caseback. Here are some pics. ex
See how far I have come from when I posted that poor excuse of a 321 Which will be on the market VERY soon, fully sorted with a full service.
Ah, damn you! You beat me to this one! I was talking to him back/forth and then he just went radio silent. I shall live to see another day though. Wear this one often, and be sure to post pics of it so I can live vicariously through your wrist.
Damn! Congrats man! I should finally place that local newspaper add and keep my fingers crossed for something like this to pop up.
That is really something else. Original everything. Wow. Look at all the wonderful dirt!! Dial and bezel are just awesome. Big congrats!
