·I bought this 1969 Omega Seamaster Memomatic 166.072 last summer (2020) from the son of the original owner, with plans to give it a mid restoration, service it, and then wear it.
A year on, and beyond removing the wrist cheese and other accumulated yuck from the case and crystal, no further progress has been made.
BUYER BEWARE: It runs, the alarm functions, but it is in dire need of a service. I'm offering this up for sale as a project/repair.
This Memomatic has clearly been worn a lot, the hippocampus on the case back is worn down, the crystal is dented and scratched, there are hairline marks all over it, and a few dinks here and there.
This is not a pristine example, but it is honest.
Please see the photos as they are your best guide as to what you're getting yourself in for.
Comes with the original instruction booklet, that the owner wrote his name and address on the front of.
If you have any questions, feel free to DM me, or post here, and I'll do my best to answer them.
