My bad, should've provided context. Its a gold speedy so I figured it should say BA145022, mention gold dial, and have remarks about apollo XI. I mean, I still love it, but would've been nice.

I am sorry, but I'm a bit slow today... What am I missing here? 861, '69 caseback, '69 build...
You are missing a BA instead of a ST 馃榾

Ouch! Let's hope this is a mistake in the archives.

I have a Mark 3 and when I received the extract it said it was a black dial, but my watch is the blue dial version. I have been meaning to get with them about this, just have not had time.

They made a mistake? Wow. I mean, I'm too cynical to hope that happened to me but not sure how else to check.

Yep, I sure did miss that! On my screen it looks like SS, and I overlooked the gold stamp (and in the OP where he indicated BA). D'oh!

Given the dollar amount I think you need to contact direct. I suspect members here could get you direct access to right person. Certainly worth your time to close the loop on this.

Newbie question. Is there a way to tell of its their mistake? Or if parts were swapped?

Thats interesting, because the movement number and delivery date looks more or less in-line with my BA. Ask the Museum to check the number again, I'm sure they are willing to help.

OK. Will definitely be in touch with them.

Not much has changed. I spoke with them and they said to bring it back so they could open it and double check the serial number (since I simply provided the number originally). Then probably ask them to recheck it. Just haven't made it back to the boutique yet.

The saga is finally over. I got the new, correct extract and I couldn't be happier. The 6 had been mistaken for an 8 in the serial number. They spent about 10 minutes under the microscope confirming. They replaced at no cost and my baby's birth certificate arrived yesterday. Thanks to all for the advice.

Congrats on getting this straightened out, and the beautiful watch.
