Hello all,

I am new to this community so I appoligize if I am asking somewhat stupid questions... 馃

My dad past away and I found out he owned a Speedmaster Moonwatch with the Straight Writing case (145.022-69).
Everything seems to be original including the 1039/516 bracelet. It is not in working condition as i suspect it has a broken winding spring.

I live in Quebec city (Canada); I was wondering if you had any recommendations to where I could have it Serviced near Montreal. I dont want to send it to Omega as I want to preserve its vintage look as possible.

Many thanks !

Are you willing to ship the watch to a watchmaker in the U.S.? If so, that will widen the field of possible choices considerably.

Here are some pics.....

I am not closed to the idea of sending it to the USA for Servicing; but it would be at least 40% more expensive considering the current CAD/USD exchange rate

You should try calling Bijouterie Dominic in Mtl. He is an authorized Omega watchmaker + an AD. I've always had excellent service with him.

Talk to Marco or his nephew.

Hey! I'm useful for once!

It's funny.....

I actually spoke to Marco this morning and was quite confident based on our discussions. I am planning to stop by in the next few days to discuss further with him. Looks promising.

Thanks for the heads up 馃榾

The pics are not perfect HD but here you go...
Really nice watch. The markers look all intact and it stinks of originality! The movement looks wonderful. Get a new crystal and a service and your all set!

Beautiful watch. It looks like it took a big impact between the 12 and 1 o clock position.. perhaps what cause the watch stopping? If you can get Archer Watches to take the watch in for service you will be in very good hands indeed.

I mean, I sent mine to Archer.

All original, 1039/516, before the straight writing, though. No writing at all, actually.

Je vais en prendre soin c'est certain; elle restera dans la famille comme souvenir. Mon fils qui est un fan des montres est un peu jaloux... 馃槦
Mais il devra attendre.... c'est 脿 moi d'en profiter maintenant 馃槈
