what are those damages by the way? oxidation / mold / water/ UV/ clear coat or under paint or metal plate, just curiousl
they are randomly scattered, as stars in the sky and constellation 😁

Cause? ALL you list plus bad MOJO.

So many gorgeous watches...I want one but they keep evading me. A couple of you are keeping your eyes open for me which is very kind. If anyone comes across a nice 14381 they know is for sale, drop me a line, or anything from around that period (late 50s to mid 60s). Then again, I've only been looking for three months, so...early days?

Thanks for these wise words. I think patience and vigilance will be the key. And to think that only a few months ago I thought I was just going out to buy a nice watch!

Does this classify as a dome dial, it's, well, not as domed as some of the others? 167.005 with a 551movement.

I'd call it a dome dial - certainly not a pie pan...and it's gorgeous. I'd be happy, very happy, if I ended up with anything like that!

It's a beauty indeed, lucky to have it, picked it up here on OF about a year ago, they do come up occasionally.

You wouldn’t know if it's a BA/BD or a CD/CE version, would you? Just idle interest. I know far too much about these watches for someone who's never even seen a dome dial let alone owned one. Bit tragic really...
