Should I buy this 1960s Constellation 14900?

Looking for some advice as I’m not super familiar with Constellations. I’m looking at 14900 (cal 551) that is in very nice condition. I love that it has the original beads of rice bracelet. The one flaw I notice is the original crystal has a hairline crack. Not sure the last service date but it is running well. Would love feedback if $1200 is a fair price.

Awful redial, wrong crown, heavily polished case,...

You know, now that I’m looking closer, I think the cal and reference might be misidentified by the seller. I don’t think they have opened the back. I’ll see if I can get a better id and update then.

I would keep an eye on the private watch sales threads. I remember a few 14900s coming up late last year, so you might have some luck there.

Is there a Constellation where the "automatic" is all lower case? I've only see ones with all uppercase.
