I shave what little hair I have left on a regular basis, so no problems there. Dog groomers are shut down too, so I am glad that I am good at cutting the dog's hair. Just gave this girl a clip this morning.

Amateur tip: Do not economize on electric clippers. In terms of noise, vibration, and precision, the cheap ones are comparable to jackhammers. Using an El Cheapo brand clipper when you've become desperate enough to cut your own hair is a recipe for disaster. I learned this the hard way.

I've been cutting my own hair for several years but it's pretty simple, put on the No. 1 fence and keep cutting till no more hair falls. Just did a fresh cut last weekend.

On the other hand, wifey asked for a trim which I obliged her with and we are still speaking. Gonna be more trying in a couple weeks when it needs more than a trim, but I'm optimistic.

I remember meeting a college girlfriend's parents for the first time in a Denny's. They said to her "Who cut your hair, it looks fantastic". She pointed to me. I felt like a million bucks.

My wife has cut mine for years, so nothing has changed...

Last official hair cut was in 1995. I let the wife chop off 12" or so every year. Beard on the other hand...have decided to head toward the style of Hanks in Castaway!

Does that keep you at steady state? There's no way my hair grows that fast. 😁

Last couple years rate of growth has been slowing and it takes about 14-15 months to grow a foot, but I just have her cut it when it becomes frustrating to deal with, lop it back to a point where I can still pull it back and tie it off, then donate it.

Average hair growth is 1/2 inch per month, or 6" per year. Is your hair really growing that fast?

I too cut my own hair ( if short) At this point I don’t even need a mirror. I’m the envy of my Zoom meetings. ::psy::

If I’m trying to grow my hair then I do need a professional to give it some shape but, for now, short it is.

Just a PSA, beards and stubble prevent a proper seal for masks. So it is best to shave before going out.
