Yeppers...starting to have some wig problems.

Can’t get the wig busted by the pro wig busters here in Cincinnati, Ohio due to lockdown...

Fixed...whipped out one of the almighty wig mashers...

You've got an outstanding talent to make people smile and like what you post and as long as you don't wear sunglasses, everything's fine... 😀

I was about a week overdue for a haircut when the lockdown started, and I'll be at a pretty bad place by the end of the week or so. I have a job that requires a decent amount of video meetings, so I don't want to just buzz it all off - but I have curly/wavy hair and I'm not sure if I'll be able to get myself to a presentable level with the beard trimmer I have. Any suggestions?

The beard trimmer will probably work ok for the sides and back, but it might not have enough range for the top. You can order an adjustable hair trimmer and have a go at the top bit by bit. If you're patient, I think it will be fine. I've also seen barbers wet curly hair, use gel and a blow dryer to straighten it out a bit, and then use a trimmer.

I am also having 3-5 video calls a day now for work and I am slowly but surely getting to the point where I will need to do something to my hair. Let’s see if it gets to disappear by the end of the week 😵‍💫😁

I too may look a little silly as I am overdue for a haircut myself . . .

The other day, I was on an audio teleconference for about an hour with my work team . . . and after I hung up, the Missus asked me:

"What do you think the team would say if they knew you held that conference in your underwear?"

I'd suggest that they probably wouldn't notice that I was overdue for a haircut!

Hair is getting a bit longer but no plans on caving in and reaching for the clippers just yet.

"I imagine they would be very surprised, as they know I am normally going commando."

Yeah, I usually get a 4 on the sides, and cut on the top - but that's a hair trimmer. My beard trimmer goes up to a 10 which I think would be something like a 3, could still be worth a shot if this drags on.

That's my backup plan if I screw up! 😁 Don't think I can use that on video calls with clients though so it'd be a last resort :/

I think the hair trimmer numbers are in eighths of an inch, and the beard trimmer uses mm. So 3/8" = 9.5mm, you're pretty much right on.

I got a 1965 Beatles thing going on. Had plans for a tooth cleaning and haircut right before this started. My wife has offered to cut my hair but I’ve seen how she does with my mother in-law, that’s an easy pass. I might go from 1965 Beatles to a 1970 John Lennon look before this is done

I've been cutting my own hair for 15 years or so. How are the rest of you are getting by during the pandemic? 😁
I've been doing my own hair for 20+ years, so I won't start looking feral on the zoom meetings anytime soon. I would like to upgrade to a pro-quality clipper though. Any barber that I've been to says that they are only sold to professionals. Anyone have a line on pro barber supplies? Bonus points for companies located in Canada.

Timely topic as I was looking surfing for clippers this afternoon, really getting on my nerves now, usually #3 back and sides, short on top.

Considering clipper on top to simplify things...

I'm not vain but went every 2 weeks (been going to the same one for 25 years now), maybe once a year 1 week extra. So you can imagine it being my 5th week now and just to scared to do it myself or let anybody inexperienced do it. Will see how I think about it when I cross the 8 week mark.

Better to do it sooner rather than later, so it has time to grow back. 😉

I’ve been preparing for this moment for well over 20 years. I married my barber. The last anyone other than she has cut my hair was September 1996!
