OK I see thx. The Sub (No date) has been updated as well. That makes sense that the whole Sub line has had these changes.

Looks like it’s live on the Rolex website. Aside from the Subs, it looks like the 39mm oyster Perpetual has been discontinued and replaced with a 41mm version with some bloody awful dials.

that’s a shame, because the 39mm case was a nice size.

I actually think the coral looks rather striking. Will need to see it in the flesh.

Wow, the bracelet on new 41mm is noticeably fatter!

Despite widespread praise for the thinner lugs, I expect the new 41mm will wear bigger than the Supercase, because the bracelet is now WIDER before it gradually begins to taper off. When it comes to proportions, I personally prefer (a) bigger lugs + thinner bracelet over (b) smaller lugs + wider bracelet.

Exciting too see the OP 36 get Easylink upgrade! Can't wait to see the coral red in person.

Across both the Sub and OP lines - I do hope Rolex will continuously improve the 32xx movement range to make the rotors silent, one day.... there are so many technical upgrades in the 32xx compared to the 31xx, but when it comes to user experience, having to endure a loud swirly rotor on the new 32xx's is a downgrade compared to the silent rotors oo the 3130 and 3135.

I like the champagne with gold details I think the first shown. I wonder if the 39mm OP's going to have a price downfall.

Well, the white dial 34-36-39 series are extremely popular and were only in production for 2 years, so I suspect that it's possible the opposite may happen, at least for that particular colorway.

Not very impressed with the sub stuff.

this OP36 is lovely though!

Assuming the size is indeed increasing to 41mm, it’s a bit of a sad day for the Sub’s heritage. It’s only 1mm, but the Submariner has sported its iconic 40mm case size since the ref. 5512 was released in 1959. I once read a pithy adage about “Death, taxes, and a 40mm Submariner.”

61 years was a good run. I’m sure it will fit and look great, but it’s a bit of a shock for me given Rolex’s historic approach to form factors. I would have loved to been a fly on the wall for that design meeting.

It will be interesting to see if OMEGA feels comfortable entering 40mm territory with the Seamaster now that it’s no longer the Submariner’s “thing.” It always struck me as intentional to release a 39.5mm Planet Ocean.

I suppose the GMT-Master is next for a 41mm case size, given the Sub/GMT Master’s analogous case sizes in past decades. If so, it’s a bit crazy to consider how many iterations there have been of the GMT-Master in the last 10 years.
I agree with your sentiments about 1mm breaking history.

I love these colours in 2020 gloom... Perhaps coral red or yellow will be mine, if I got hold of them.

Have to echo some of the comments on the funky dial colors - not for me - but if you like your rolex to match your mustard - then have at it. That's one of the beauties of personal taste, to each their own. I do like the visually slimmed down larger sub though.

Looks like paint sample cards laser printed as Rolex dials. Candy Floss Pink and Robin's Egg Blue!

All your favourite Traffic Signal colours are here too - Red, Yellow or Green? Beep! Beep!

Were they all in mind of decorating a baby's nursery? Double batons across the range because nobody wanted that. I do like the Turquoise though and the "Silver" is promising. Turquoise is pretty nice though, hmmm.

You have to think back to them suing a company that was making bright coloured dials and doing well at it 📖

Best way to stop someone profiting from this

is do it to start with 😉
