I nearly bought this before but there are a couple of shiny marks on the dial one just above the centre pinion also the hands in the subsidiary dials are wrong,

If it's on the bottom left lug in the first picture, then I think its image distortion caused by the seller's watermark.

That part of the lug. Maybe that is the most untouched case ever and that's the way it came from factory but that is something new for me...

I think it's how White Star Line described the scrape on the hull of the Titanic from that iceberg

I am just very picky with dents or abuse on my watches so I pick up small details. Or maybe is it because my work makes me look for discrepancies in data...

These squadron watches are appealing and this would be a nice addition for any Speedmaster collector, especially as these watches are also part of the space program.
This one is the first edition with different crown and shinny bezel. It is generally lower priced and considered less desirable then the version 2.
I would point out that this watch was owned by an USAF, (as stated by Warren) program graduate, and not the United States Navy Fighter Weapons School (Top Gun). The sellers use of "Top Gun" I find a little misleading.

There is only one Top Gun (Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center (NSAWC) in Fallon NV) and only one real Top Gun watch and it's a Breitling. Here is mine.

Yeap, it was my understanding that the Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center in Fallon NV succeeded the Navy Fighter Weapons School at Miramar.

this is the same item that was on a Polish auction site. this seller will most likely make a higher bid then yours from a different account if the final price does not make him happy. so be aware of that. the photos are real but this is a professional seller so be aware that it could be a restored or refreshed item. in this case he claims that the dial is unrestored but who knows ...
