Do the lugs look a little small from the polishing? Seems thin to me just my opinion.

The lugs on these OT2872s are unusually thin, but part of that is because they're 19mm-20mm in spacing (realistically measuring it they're a bit 19 or a small 20mm, somewhere in the middle) I run a 20mm strap snugly in it.

The 18K hallmark on the side of the case is rubbed off a bit due to the polishing so its evident its been worked on but as you can see from this one the lugs are a bit on the skinny side

Your lugs definitely look a bit less polished from the photo. love the dial there.

One thing that grabs me about others in comparison to yours is the presence of the ragged ring of exposed metal around the subdials (not on yours, but on the others, like the one being discussed). Is this a sign of dial tampering or just wear?

I think it's wear Lou. Have seen some other examples like that.

Sorry, posted incorrectly.

Ash, What grabs me is that you have the best looking darn watch that I have ever seen in my life.
What other could you possibly wear that won't be a step down?
Sorry I'm off topic but it needs to be said.
Buck

ps. you might as well start selling your daily wearers and concentrate on museum pieces.

Agree! What ash considers daily wearers, we would consider museum pieces!

The dial more than makes up for the case but how much will it go for is the question. Nice dials usually bring the price up because many don't know about the case being dulled by polishing.
i know -'condition, condition, condition' - still want to have a good go at this one!

One reason I sold the Salmon dial!..I will probably never see another like it 🙁...but these are getting scare...and I do agree with Dennis on this one...Dial is nice. Still think my 354 was sharper, but something put me off it...don't know why!...take a close look at the light catching a very very fine double chamfer (top left portion)..it was there. Just very difficult to capture..then compare this to a crisp sharp bezel and you'll see why it's no longer in my possession!

Seamaster Cal 321, smaller case than the Speedmaster and more wearable for those with smaller wrists wanting a Cal 321 movement

Beautiful watch (as you know I have an identical one), but the seller is on my sh*&t list ever since he knowingly sold a fake Chinese-made bubbleback last year as genuine.
