Thanks for the tip. I decided not long ago to hang up my gun for acquiring additions to the collection, but I was hooked by that pretty dial, and bought it.

I guess I should stop watching out for your additions to this thread......
Nice man, look forward to seeing it!

Nice looking watch but for the life of me, I can't figure out this eccentric wheel and how it would work. Something with the quickset?
Apologies for the hijack.

If I recall correctly, the screw holds a disk that retains a ring of gear teeth. I'm not sure why this is necessary, though, instead of a typical wheel.

Edit: I think I remember now. If it were a typical gear with a normally threaded screw, the direction it turns would tend to remove the screw. Sometimes there is a reverse threaded screw. Otherwise, a disc retaining a gear ring like this one. Maybe there are more solutions out there that I haven't seen.

Anyone end up getting this? For the condition and being the less common 564 version that’s a pretty deal whoever bought it

Yep. Same reason the left pedal on a bicycle is reverse-threaded.

Maybe there are more solutions out there that I haven't seen.

Some movements use two small screws to secure the crown wheel instead of a single large screw.

It's a normal screw (2101) that secures the crown wheel components (1101, 1102, 1103) to the plate.

It has to be offset because the date indicator driving wheel (on the other side of the plate) uses the centre area for its centre pinion.

Brand new account from Peru that has never sold anything, sells three high value watches all of a sudden at once including an 18k Constellation and a $5K Tudor.

I wouldn’t hold out much hope of receiving anything.

same thoughts as well. But isn’t eBay quite buyer friendly (vs siding with seller)? Seller risks aside, what do you think of the watch?

(also I did not buy this)

I talked with this seller, and as you can see, red flags all over.
Also he cancelled my bid on the constellation he put up along with the Ed white.
Never bothered after a short chat with him

Yea there actually are many legit South American sellers and I’ve bought many from down there but this guy is rather obviously a criminal.
