I love these blue dial f300's. I am posting this here to prevent myself from getting another watch I don't need. Doesn't run so, budget another $150-$300 for service and repairs if you are willing to send it to Rob B. in Thailand (anyone else will have to charge much more).

The caseback is pretty messed up but a better one is on ebay for $70:

This one is exceptionally nice, a presentation watch with engraving but neatly done, 14K solid gold US Case Seamaster De Ville with one of the more attractive technical dials with sub-seconds in great condition. It won’t go cheap but very well worth owning.

Iv won this Omega 101.009 18k gold on eBay from Italian seller. He has a his own shop and address so seems legit so I requested day light pictures which look less sharp than the add, the dial looks in decent condition, slight wear at 11o’clock. But I think the crown is a replacement although Iv been told it’s original, what you think? Seems a different tone gold Also some bad deterioration on the second chrono hand. Let me know your thoughts I’m a little hesitant if it’s not original

Have you read the title of this thread?

Excellent one. This one is a LL6590-1, sub-reference KM6610 which is the date version. The reference LL6590-1 only exists in solid 14K gold, which is always a nice detail, and they tend to feature a special dial. They often come with engravings as they were a common reference for presentation watches in the USA. Some feature the Seahorse on the back and some don't. I'm pretty sure that the vast majority of them don't, as it gives room for a nice engraving. Mine does, but also has an engraving around it.

All in all, In my opinion, the LL6590-1 is one of the most interesting references for Seamaster deVilles. Solid gold but 14K so still pretty robust, and a lot of nice dials. In good condition, they can get expensive though.

That is an absolutely stunning watch, is it a relatively recent acquisition as that caseback engraving looks familiar?

Thanks! Yes, it's a recent acquisition from three months ago. I'm all about Seamaster deVilles with special dials. This was my grail watch and I made a post about it around a year ago, and @rkman11 responded to my post saying 'Hey, that's my watch!'.

We became friends and he eventually came around the idea of selling it to me as I am going to be a father very soon (in around two weeks actually) and that would be a nice way to celebrate it.

So that's my grail watch, which is also a testimony to our friendship, and to me becoming a father. As the engraving on the back shows, it was a special piece from the very beginning in 1962. 😀

I’m really not impressed about that “after service movement” look:

Here's an example of what I'd like to see after service (I know the lighting can do a huge difference, but still.....):

Nice man, look forward to seeing it!

Well Ash it arrived today and it was even better than I expected. It has very few micro scratches and is definitely unpolished, which is hard to find these days

So here it is, with an Omega bracelet that looks very smart. Although it does not appear to be the standard issue for this model the watch is so original I think it may have been there from the beginning. In fact I just found another with the same bracelet on Chrono24, so it is probably original.

Thanks for the tip!
