8 hours left on this one, still only $620 atm

Is it good to follow a seller with a watch that's been "vetted" enough by the community and check out their other items, or is it best to take it on a piece-by-piece basis

nothing wrong with following a seller who has had ‘proven’ watches but always look at watches on a piece by piece basis.

Went for more than I was willing to part with… anyone here snag it?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/255617460480?

What???? That's an extraordinarily high price for one of those, isn't it? Also, no movement shot, and terrible pictures and those lume dots look all wrong. Should they even be there? I smell a rat.

The ending price of $3551 was very high imo.. wouldnt be surprised to see it relisted after a nonpayer. Bubbling on the dial and corroded/tired hands.

Yeah, quite a bit too rich for my blood… However, arrowheads with lume are rare and were a special order item. There’s been a few threads on them:

https://omegaforums.net/threads/incoming-arrowhead-with-lume-dots.92641/

I think the rarity of those lumed indices did a lot of the heavy lifting in this listing. And while the overall condition isn’t great, everything at least appears original from the poor pictures. A cool piece, imo, just not at that price…

Decent wearable Constellation Calendar Calibre 561 in gold-cap, its a little polished and not a piepan which keeps the price down a bit but for something to wear that’s not a bad thing. Non-luminous dial too which is a plus.

Just over 40 mins left and still at $640

100% correct, this seller for example Alex in Mexico has sold me three of my nicest watches but has also sold some watches with refinished dials, wrong movements and very heavy polishing, every watch needs to be assessed on its own, even Christies gets things wrong from time to time.

I put a bid in, in the mid $700's during the last 30 seconds and was promptly outbid.
Final price was $811 USD + shipping. Seems like a very price for it, even with the slight over polishing.

For US members an interesting Seamaster 600 with an uncommon grey texture dial. 19h left at $330. Lots of scratches on the crystal so it's impossible to asses the condition of the dial but maybe worth a gamble. I would bid on this watch but the seller wont ship to EU 🙁

I was surprised by how clean the movement looks. Should clean up nicely.

if that were in the UK I’d be giving it serious consideration. Looks like it will clean up beautifully

Vintage Calibre 711 ultra-thin DeVille reference 165.008 in steel, nice overall condition with some minor marks on the case, good price for one of these ultra-thins and a more interesting watch than most in the price range.

This one has been reduced even further now to $425 which is very decent for what it is.

So, it was already on my eBay watch list; you just tipped me over the edge. It will be mine in about a week... Thanks!
