Either it has a wrong movement (most likely) or a wrong dial
Thanks for the spot mate removed that one

you dont suspect this one may be a redial?
In the UK, another Seamaster 562 166.003 non-tritium with sharp facets on the lugs and a clean movement

I'm a newbie, so please feel free to ignore, but does the inside of the cashback look a little iffy? A turned finish, as opposed to milled, and quite 'odd' looking engraving?
Would appreciate any advice, as I'm seriously considering it.

I thought the enquire was appropriate mate. Dug was asking about a watch posted further up this page as a recommendation.

I’m pretty sure every new omega forum joiner posts a similar question. I know I did.
And the case look ok to me but my knowledge is limited.

Over the last many years, there has developed a rhythm in this thread for quick approvals of ebay only listings and any points of discussion moving on to the appropriate sections.
@efauser, in a gentlemanly manor, mentions that it is worthy to move this to a discussion and adhere to the spirit of the thread.

Agreed! However, enquiries are better handled in discussion and we hope to keep this thread to precise, timely ebay recommendations only.

I was indeed, thanks. The image was taken from that ebay listing, so I thought I was just continuing the conversation. Will perhaps refrain from having an input in future....ah well!

It’s not a big deal or anything if you reply asking about something in the thread but if its more detailed its easier to have a separate thread and keeps it a bit cleaner so that would be the preferred option is all

Another all original Geneve in very nice condition. Reference 135.011/caliber 601.

I’m not a huge fan of that example. The dial has damage the hands have been relumed and the case back repolished, possibly to remove an engraving. For the asking price it’s possible to find a much nicer, cleaner example.

Thanks. I should have reviewed it more carefully. I will remove the post.

I’ve been watching this one since it was posted… any concern with the the lettering appearing to be flaking away? Or just weird lighting?
In my (very inexpert) opinion it looks like scratched crystal. Based on my own purchasing of scratched faces in the past.
A lot of money to gamble on a scratched face though

Agreed crystal as a pile of surface scratching some of it fairly deep, it’ll get replaced in service anyway

Hm, I have my doubts on this one. The minute marks seem uneven, misaligned (e.g. at 1 o'clock), or missing. The sides of the lugs look flat while they should have facets. Could be all down to image quality, but personally I wouldn't put that kind of money on that particular gamble.

whilst this is turning into an ‘illegal’ discussion - gold cap doglegs don’t have facets on the sides of the lugs (SS and solid gold doglegs do)
