I wish I could go back in time to when (seemingly) all it took was reasonably good looks, good diction, and a penchant for flying and you had it made in the limelight! But I enjoy flying more than I would enjoy fame

C F Martin. I assume you refer to the guitar in the avatar. That picture was taken while we were performing for a bar-b-cue at a local historic park. I don’t remember whose guitar I borrowed for that picture. My instrument is the fiddle next to the guitar. You could be right. One of our group has an original, unrestored, Gibson Les Paul. He bought it new.
Regarding the clues for my rebus. I deliberately chose an image of Corrigan that did not show an airplane. I figured that him beside a plane might be a dead giveaway, even to somebody who might not otherwise recognize his image. I didn’t figure an actual aviator would see the clues! You beat me! Well done! 👎
