Sorry to jump in Charlemagne

Jump in, mate, no worries 👍

This celebration is honoured in the U S and Canada. And the UK. Not sure about elsewhere.

Not familiar with this being celebrated in the UK.

Maybe I’m out of touch, but given that the UK is now one of the most obese populations in Europe, I would think that every day, here, is National Hotdog Day 😉

My mouth’s watering now 😁

Tennessee Williams Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, maybe?

Sounds to me like Canuck has this one done and dusted! ::rimshot::

I have a question @Charlemagne1333 . I assume the one clue might be a chap named Williams. Well, it’s not Robin, John, or Andy. Who is he, please?

Let me jump in here. Kenneth Williams. Starred mainly in the ubiquitous UK Carry On films of the 60s and early 1970s.

Little wonder I had nothing to work with, other than his last name must be Williams.

You got it 👍

I had a feeling I might have posted the same puzzle a while back. A quick google search tells me I did, about a year ago, just different pictures 😁

No mind, ya still solved it 👍

Didn’t know they’d made a series about him.

Thanks for the heads up @blubarb 👍

And it's not too bad a series either - certainly shows heaps of conformational bias examples.

I don’t usually ask that you show your workings, but if you do, for this one, I’ll have a word in Santa’s shell-like to put a little extra in your stocking this Yuletide…

The last four clues suggest to me:

The Legend of the Rose.

But the rest of the clues only suggest:

Think
Bert
Sandra Oh
Alexa

So, this one makes no sense to me, whatever!

Good solve,

There’s a 1960, 18ct gold, connie pie pan in Santa’s sack, for ya. I’ve put a good word in 😉

I don't want to seem ungrateful, but if it hasn't got dog-leg lugs I'm not interested.
