Let’s see if I can make these a bit tougher for you lot (I’ve said it before, I know 😁 )

Once you’ve figured it out, you should be able to name him 😕

A long way off @blubarb

Hint: Similar theme to previous puzzle, and factual, not fiction…

Anthony Blunt - known as the fourth Man and was a red/Communist Spy?

Just a Yay or Nay will do. I am feeling fragile. 😎😁😁

At school, in maths lessons, we were always told that you couldn’t be marked down for an incorrect answer as long as your workings were correct.

Considering that, and your fragility, I have to say good workings, but wrong answer.

How many men are there? What does the last man represent?

You’re nearly there, mate 👍

I, like Jim, have to hit the hay - I'll pick it up again tomorrow assuming some kind soul doesn't put me out of my misery by answering it in the meantime. Please do! 🍿

John Cairncross?

One of the Cambridge spies, not really known to the other four, but known by the Russians as the fifth man.

И теперь я действительно чувствую, что я шагнул назад во времени - я надеюсь, что весь этот русский помечен в Эшелоне

Never heard of him until now - just reading up on him. Interesting character. Inventor of the first dry galvanic cell - no easy feat as well.

Seven deadly sins
centuries/years
sign/enter/in
tea/steam/cup
roulette/wheel/bet/gamble

Would that be Seven Years in Tibet by Heinrich Harrer?
