Here’s one to get the “grey matter” working. Name to individual, and give us a bit of background. This individual is not pictured in the clues.

I'm completely lost...just not clicking at the moment. Here's my work so far.

Gerry (Marsden) & The Pacemakers/Liverpool/Band
Head of Cabbage / Greens
On/Off/Switch
Sea Salt

Can't seem to work this one out...but that does remind me of a joke: Did you hear about the constipated accountant? He used a pencil to work it out.

I’ll leak out a clue or two. Person, deceased, American, associated with a prominent comedian as a straight man.

Gerry and the Pacemakers, correct.
Cabbage is correct, but cabbages are called a lot of other names.
On/Off switch, correct, but ON or OFF?
Salt is correct, but the word SALT doesn’t appear in the answer!

Gerry (Marsden) & The Pacemakers
Head of Cabbage / Greens / Bok Choy / Choy Sum / Napa / Brussels Sprouts
On
Sodium Chloride / Na

Going to watch the Tour de France for a bit and let my brain relax...maybe I'll see it when I re-visit in a bit. For now, maybe take this work for a group solve?

I was just about to offer Jerry Lewis, but I know I’m way off. Drawn a blank on this one 👎

Yep, I tried to work him into too it but couldn't get there.

Probably kick myself when it gets solved.

Not Jerry Lewis. Though he shared much in common with the subject. The name, male, American, comedian, straight man for another comedian, also now deceased. Clue: this fellow’s first name starts with “G”, not “J”. As soon as someone comes up with the one clue that has proven to be the stickler 😁, and puts their thinking caps on, someone will solve it. While this guy was a side man to a VERY prominent comedian, he himself is generally not well known! Here he is, in silhouette! Play with that.

I wanted this rebus to be a bit tougher than my usual submission. But I am quite surprised nobody has twigged! I HOPE someone comes up with the answer, soon, or I may have to divulge who he is.

While we’re waiting for @TasMike to solve @Canuck ’s toughie, have a go at this one.

@Charlemagne1333 , I’ve never known you to be a quitter, before! Even after my most recent veiled clue, none of you can sort this one out. It is not possible for me to disclose any further clues without breaking down and telling you this fellow is.

I shall endeavour.
I had to do a bit of googling with your HOPE (Bob) clue.

I’m not 100% sure that I’ve given the correct answer to @Canuck ’s puzzle, but let it not be said that the rebus thread isn’t educational.
I’ve learnt that cabbage is also known as collard 👍

Here’s one more, before the land of Nod beckons.

Old time silent movie actor, and a character he would often play.
