Seems as thought there’s no line up trying to solve this one. I’m out!

    OK, here we go.

    Rod Stewart
    Paula Rego
    Cameron Diaz
    Kiki Dee
    Viva

I thus deduce that it may be Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar, or as we know him, El Cid.

An easy one for Sunday morning.

So easy there will be no clues.

Sorry about that, mate. The pics wouldn't align so I had to resize them. I didn't think anyone would be onto it that fast.

Funnily, to me at least, I have become a big fan RS of late. Maybe I have grown accustomed to his voice (his jazz songs for sure) and it only took 50 years. :whistling:

Okay! I’ll counter with a rebus pertaining to a matter of Canadian interest! I’ve gone out of my way to make this rebus tougher than my usual offering, in reaction to some of the tough ones that have popped up recently. Tougher, but not impossible! See what you can do to identify this Canadian event. And give the background behind it.

This is a tough one, and I just want to throw some ideas up to start with.

    Mad/ Alfred E Newman/
    Trapper John MD
    Can of spilt beans/sauce/beans (Can-ada?)
    River Phoenix

    Mad Trapper of Rat River

With some Google help on Canadian history, am I getting warm...or shouldn't I be asking that? :)

@blubarb aced my “tough” rebus on Canadian history. The spilled beans is analogous to someone who “rats” on someone else, or in other words, tattles on them. The Mad Trapper of Rat River is indeed the answer!

    MAD (Alfred E. Newman)
TRAPPER (the tv series Trapper John MD played by Pernell Roberts)
    OF
    RAT (spilled the beans)
    RIVER (The late River Phoenix)

All = The Mad Trapper of Rat River)

I’ll try even harder to put together a tough one.

I've refreshed the clues, I'm sure any young teenage reader will get it immediately.

I was thinking it was classical music related, as it’s an ‘easy Sunday morning’.

That one threw me a bit, until you posted the new pic
