Something to alleviate the worries of having these cases refinished, is that with laser welding and a skilled re lap very little material will be lost. The profile of the case should not change at all as only a few microns of material should be lost.

The main deal breaker for refinishing is that the grain never feels quite right. Too fresh and just a bit different from even the freshest factory original. The quality of work from certain experts has continued to improve though. Instagram has me amazed by some of the work out there.

Hello ladies and gents. Could any of you help me out with info on this tachy/bezel. This is a circa '69 watch with papers. Excellent condition. My question regards the authenticity of the bez markers particularly with regard to the position of the 250 and 225. I haven't seen one like this. Any help out there from mk 2 lovers?
