Its a nice looking strap, I did something similar with my FOIS, this is also a 20mm strap squeezed on 19mm lugs:

Very nice looking, yeah it's pretty vintage, I like it. Actually, quite cheap too, the guy in OB told me "oh, it's a nice quality strap that you have here, very well done", I told him "yeah... 15€ on eBay, pretty good..." : )

So... after a month from purchasing my Seamaster 1957 LE, I can say I'm happy, it's a great watch to wear in any occasion and a pleasure for the eyes every time I watch it. I decided to sell my Speedmaster 1957 LE as I feel more comfortable with my Reduced as a Speedmaster. Funny fact, it took me 10 minutes to find a buyer, I sold it to the watch shop where I bought it a year ago and I earned 10% on the buy/sell transaction after 1 year. 😀

Meh. Not a period-correct or even in the ballpark of period strap.

Yeah I get your point… although this is a modern watch 😀 I find it very comfortable and the colour is different from the usual things… but I’m sure I will go back to black soon, I don’t keep the same strap for more than a month… peace

You might look for some pigskin, that was common back in the day.

Thanks for the tip, I’ll definitely check them, I didn’t know them really, they look good

Not a big fan of dive watches but the classic look of the 300 does it for me. I prefer the thin bezel.

I'm in the same boat here and struggling to decide between the trilogy or the seamaster 300MC! Leaning towards the old design 300 as the trilogy dial looks a bit grey to me. Is the difference between the two noticeable in real life?

Hi mate,

I've been trying the new Seamaster 300 a couple of weeks ago and I'd got the same feeling of the trilogy regarding the dial. It's very similar in colors... The real big difference to me is the size of the watch, which is really bigger on the new 300 if you have like me a small wrist and the bezel which is larger and mate. The dial is absolute beauty on the new one, especially in the lollipop version. The crown is also bigger on the new one, which is not so positive in my opinion.

The best thing as usual in anyway is that you can try both before to make a decision.

Glad there's not much difference in the dial colours!

Yep I definitely need to take a trip to the AD and try on the trilogy

Cheers

Might be hard to still find a trilogy at the OB but hope you do, I bought it from the OB in Madrid 3 months ago unseen.

300 for me as well. But one can have both the 300 and the 300m diver.

Unfortunately not I live in Northwest England and there are none in ADs near me! Makes me lean even more towards the 300 as I don't like the idea of a blind buy

I already own Trilogy set, but now I like 300 after seeing that in person in OB.
