Hello guys,

I'm trying to decide what will be the next watch in my collection...
Which one would you pick between these 3 models?

SEAMASTER trilogy edition (60th anniversary): I've got the Speedmaster of that edition, I like it more than the standard 300 because it has a slighter bezel and it's a master chronometer (caliber 8806).

SEAMASTER 300: classic choice, timeless design, 8400 caliber, not a master chronometer, probably just less expensive than the trilogy edition. Do you see any other difference between the two which can balance the choice for one or the other?

SEAMASTER DIVER 300M: also a master chronometer (caliber 8800), superb design and machining, maybe a little bit bigger in size but a significantly lower price.

Thanks for your suggestions

What’s wrong with the beautiful OEM bracelet? 😉

'Whats right with the beautiful OEM bracelet?' is the correct question 😉 And for those who ask why Uncle Seiko (and not Forstner) : in my experience, the endlinks fit this particular watch better...

300 for me - looks a little more contemporary and prefer the darker dial and thicker bezel - makes for one impressive timepiece...

Trilogy for sure. Better hands, bezel, and movement. Agree that the bracelet is a weak point, but that's easily remedied. Good luck making your choice!

8400 in the 300 is a Master CoAxial - great movement - perhaps not METAS but a super movement.

I like them all but have only owned the Trilogy. It'd be my pick of the three, though my aim is to one day own all of em 😉

I owned the Trilogy and ended up keeping the SMP Diver. Lots to love about the Trilogy, but ultimately I tired of the lume colour, the shine and the wonky bezel -- not all units had these, but mine was on the loose and slippy side -- and never got on with the bracelet. The packaging and extras are terrific, however, and it wears very well. The rotor sound on mine was noticeable. There are other vintage divers I ended up preferring -- Blancpain and Doxa -- and I still prefer them. If I'd found a Trilogy Railmaster, I'd have kept it forever. It's a true stunner.

The MC isn't a great fit for me, so didn't consider it for long.

The Diver 300 is just a great all-rounder. It's beautifully made, wears like a dream on the rubber especially, is accurate and legible and is both a tool watch and a dress watch, depending on context. And since you have the trilogy Speedy, it's a nice match.

Ultimately though, they're in different categories for me. I can see the Trilogy facing off with the MC, but the Diver is a true GADA watch. Might make a nice complement to the Trilogy Speedy also. No wrong answer here.

was about to say the same thing. My MC has been accurate to a few seconds a month since I purchased it in 2019. I’m sure it’s a little luck, but I doubt a METAS movement can be any more accurate than that.

Trilogy has the cal 8806 ... which is a METAS Certified movement, and I beleive almost the same as in the new 300's (minus the date wheel).

i don't disagree, all i was trying to imply is that just because it has an 8400, the 300 (and mine is a 2017) isn't really inferior, the 8400 whilst not Metas, is a MC and a very good calibre with the 15000 guass protection, dual barrels, completely silent etc etc.
