Enginerd
·After reading this thread I can confirm the same issue with my moonwatch.
P pongsterThat’s better indicator of your luck sir. Having a daughter that is a diagnostic test for your hearing.
So after speaking to the watch technician at one of the boutiques, they told me this is normal for a speedmaster and also happens on the rolex milgauss. I did explain what Archer said about the movement being held to the enlargement ring which then presses against the antimagnetic disc that presses to the caseback. They told me the Faraday cage does not come into contact with the movement.
I don't know how much further this matter can be taken unless the watch stops working properly to prove this rattle is causing an issue.
Got my speedy back from omega again. They provided no information other than they said they carried out a full service. The rattle is still present! I am so frustrated with their customer service. They now want me to send it back a further time even though I stated in my letter to them when sending that watch to investigate and sort the rattle issue.
I don't know what else to do.
That's very frustrating. I've had good experiences with the Regent Street OB, but for straightforward matters. Did you demonstrate the rattle with the tech(s) present?
