They've gotten so expensive at retail... Really glad I managed to own a 3570.50 10 years ago when prices were sane, live with it a few years, realise it was just too big, and sell without taking a loss. Good advice in the article IMO

RJ - I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy Fratello. Since Hodinkee decided to go GQ a few years ago, Fratello has become my daily stop for watch info. I listen to the two podcasts as well. I especially like the deep dive articles like the one linked above. Articles on new watches are nice, but I really appreciate the articles that explore different facets of the hobby/industry.

Good article. As much as I like the 3861, my tritium 3570.50 and 145.022-69 probably get the most wrist time. Great combinations of old-school looks and don’t-worry-about-it wearability.

Thanks 502 to right,

Much appreciated. We do our best. I get it regarding the in-depth articles, but we also need to pay our (expensive) bills, so we need to have a healthy mix of article types.

Omega did a great job with the bracelet and dial. I also like the calibre.

Looking at the photo in the article of the three bracelets,

I just realized that the new bracelet looks very similar to the 1116 bracelet from the 145.022-69, which is a steel version of the gold bracelet that came on the 69 Gold Speedys presented to the astronauts. So not so much a new design as a return to an earlier design.

My 1116 for comparison:

It's a very comfortable bracelet due to the many flexible links. Now I'd like to handle the new bracelet in person, which I haven't done yet.

Always love the speedy articles.
