Got super lucky with my last purchase in March25 before the trade wars started.

Jomashop had my TT globemaster for 5.85K or 60% off brand new.

Only way I will buy an Omega is a 35-36MM Seamaster 300M new release for the wife.

Yes I'm sure a 233% increase in tariffs had nothing to do with this US only increase ::facepalm1::
and the 233% increase in tariffs will lead to a $300 price increase on a $7000 watch because math!

For a luxury brand? Pretty much no. Price decreases for a luxury brand is thought of as a death knell.
Now we’ll be stuck paying 6k and more for Seamasters 300m’s MSRP noooo. the last gen 300m retailed about 4500k a decade ago, the new gen from 2018 went to 5000, i bought mine for 5200, within the last year they increased to 5900. My mentality is still 6k for speedmaster and a grand lower for the seamasters, but even then they just keep on going up

If you use a United States CPI inflation calculator, $4,500 in 2015 is worth $6,157 today. I don't like price increases either but it would appear Omega is just keeping up with inflation.

Well, was hoping my Snoopy would hit soon, but alas… it hasn’t. I’m sure it will hit just after the price-increase.

Maybe tariffs, although they are supposedly paused. Could also be a currency issue I suppose.
The tariffs are not paused. The 31% rate for swiss goods is paused. But the new 10% for all countries is already in effect.
And yes the dollar is losing its value as well.

On a similar note, I received an email from Strapcode announcing that they are pausing shipments to the U.S., effective April 27th

I've decided not to participate in this price increase.

And to not participate in this increase, I bought a new Omega today, April 29th. 😉

I should be good for the next year.

Will this impact parts also? Was planning on getting the newer Speedmaster 3861 bracelet.

Edit - real photos!

38mm AT. But I have it on a fully brushed AT bracelet (from the Shades collection that has more curve to the links than the standard AT bracelet) with an adjustable clasp from the Heritage 300.

I'll know Saturday when I pick up the 57 bracelet for my Snoopy 50 that took 3 months to get. Longer than I waited for the watch(!)
