Its value to you was $100, unfortunately I think its value to most here would be somewhere between $0 and $10 as I fear it is a fake.

If you want to believe that then do the research and come back with what you find.

I've just had a look through your older posts and I have to say you do have previous for turning up some real junkers!

Where are you finding these terrible watches and are you not doing any research yourself before posting here?

First, I would recommend that you do not trust immediately any listing or seller using the word "Rare" or something similar. Lots of sellers like to put that everywhere just to get eyes and searches on the product.

That watch looks like a fake to me too. The Constellation font is like anything I have seen, and a reverse image search shows me a lot of similar-shaped examples, but miles ahead in terms of the quality of the dials. You can open it and show the movement to see what is in there, but I wouldn't expect much.

Ignore these naysayers Newboy, you've found a gem. I can offer you and only you a once in a lifetime offer since you are clearly a man or woman of taste and discernment. I have a consignment of beans which I will allow you and only you to purchase. I can't say too much since this is an open channel but these beans have special properties if you know what I mean. In fact they are magic. Let's talk soon.

Oh and I do lamp upgrades too, you know new for old.

Then you have nothing to lose by posting them here.

If those are real, we’ll explain the differences between those and yours. If fake, we’ll explain the similarities.

Newboy4,

When a new member posts a photo of a recently purchased watch here, and other members of the community tell him or her that it is fake, he or she generally reacts in one of two ways. Some of those new members - realizing that Omega Forums has among its members some of the most knowledgeable and experienced collectors of Omega watches on planet Earth - take the advice, realize that they made a bad purchase, learn from it, and become valuable members of this community. Other new members refuse to believe that they made a poor purchase and we never hear from them again. Which type of new member would you like to be?

It is without doubt a fake or more correctly, a counterfeit.

First indicator of a counterfeit are the markings and case reference on the outside of the caseback.
Omega hardly ever did that, and never for Constellations that I've seen.

When we decipher the case reference 061.4911 as per "Omega Codes for 7-Digit References" we find:

0 - Not found.
6 - Self-winding without seconds
1 - Non-water-resistant
4911 - Spurious case number

In addition, the Constellation font on the dial has never been used by Omega.

Case Ref. 168.(0)015 and -25 both had the case reference on the outside for the convenience of watchmakers needing to know which Omega tool was required to open the case.

Of course, the OP’s watch is certainly not one of these.

Thanks for that. I'm aware of many of the Unishell/Unicoc cases with external markings. Wasn't aware until now that Connies were too.
