Here’s how it currently looks on my baby wrist

Is that Coal Harbour in the background? If so, I’d recommend checking out Otto Friedl in the Fairmont Vancouver. They have a nice selection of straps and vintage watches. The cost to service the watch is a bit high but not outrageous.

Haha. Yes! That’s where I got the watch serviced! I didn’t even think of asking them about vintage straps.

They are good about putting you on a wait list should something come in later on. Nice folks there.

welcome @Mariemocha
condolences if you lost your father recently.

very nice watch BTW

I have quite slim wrists for a chap (but still substantially larger than yours at about 6.5-7") and to be honest, although I love mine, I struggle with a BOR.
It's not so much the removing of the links to reduce the size, it is the size of the folding section of the clasp that is the issue, as it half as long again as the clasp cover.
With wrists as small as yours, the folding section may stick out the side of your wrist.
Mine is the later, 'square' BOR and I have 9/7 links showing either side of the closed clasp, my guestimation is that this would reduce to something like 6/4 links if I was to reduce it by 1.5".

@janice&fred
Fred, have you had this issue when sizing a BOR for Janice?

if you do manage to source one, my top tip would be to have someone size it to your wrist (whilst you are there) as the links will need to be removed asymmetrically to allow the cover clasp to sit centrally.

I've tried to compare your watch side by side with mine to show wrist sizes.
Mine is also a 14382 like @MikeMan2727 's but a dome dial like yours, however, as Mike said, your's is the 14393 date version.

My watch is on the dark brown strap it came on, it's not right for the watch but I've never got around to changing it.
I actually like the chestnut strap your's is on but I have other gold Connies on light brown and black lizard - all look good.

Hope that helps

lovely watch

I would suggest stick to leather straps

There are many firms making fine bespoke straps today, for example - check out Molequin on instagram or www. They make a huge range of leather straps, in many funky colours, materials and sizes

You could buy 2, and change them periodically

no affiliation, just a suggestion

Oh my goodness, we almost look like twins! Hehe. I'm also thinking that the size of the clasp part will be an issue. At this stage, I'm really leaning towards a leather strap. I've been looking at all these cool colors and I could really have fun with that. I like the idea of changing the straps when I'm bored with one. You've been very helpful Thank you so much 😀
