Hi Everyone, I'm preparing a cross-Canada move and I'm thinning my Universal Geneve collection. For sale, a 23 Jewels automatic Universal Geneve in Stainless steel with a cool engine turned bezel. Serial numbers date this watch to the late 50s early 60s. The watch was destined for the US market. It's been discussed here https://omegaforums.net/threads/universal-geneve-automatic-23-jewels-with-a-17-jewel-movement.96375/ Case: Sharp edges and I don't believe that it has been polished. Minor scratches from wear throughout, but in very good condition. Screw back case. The thick lugs make it wear bigger. 35mm x 41mm Dial: Sunburst with some light staining between 5 and 6 o'clock and its starting to develop a lovely patina. Hands: Original with lume matching the dots on the dial. Crown: Signed and original Crystal: Has a few scratches and doesn't have the logo. Movement: 215-97 (17 jewels + 5 hidden under the microrotor = 23 jewels) which has a higher beat of 21 600 vibrations/amplitudes per hour. It runs well and accurate time keeps time, it's been cleaned and oiled in May. I'm asking 600 (NOW 500$) OBO USD (Paypal F&F or wire transfer) and will include Canada post tracked and insured shipping in Canada, US and Europe. Watch is located in Vancouver, Canada. I have lots of references here and have been an active member for some time.
Very nice watch!!! The case looks like it would wear really well! Coming to T.O.? AKA City of Champions
