Omega Connie 168.017 - Caliber 561 - Thoughts?

So I am a bit reluctant to ask because I already pulled the trigger on the following Connie without asking these questions here first. But I'd rather know in any event.

Any concerns about the dial or hands - do they look original? The end links look loose but anything else that I should be concerned about? I'd appreciate the feedback. Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi,

it looks like a nice example to me.
I thought that the date windows should have had facet like most connies, but I either may be wrong or the picture hide those facets.

The yellow gasket could be decades old, so you should plan to service it.

Thanks Gui13250.

The dial, hands and indices are what concerned me initially. I didn't know that about the date window. Hopefully some of the other experts will also chime in as well. Thanks again.

This is one of those Japanese c-shapes on ebay? I think it looks good and most of them very reasonably priced!
Its original down to the crown and date window. Don't think the bracelet is original though馃槈

I don鈥檛 know much about Constellations, but I can鈥檛 recall ever having seen a vintage Omega with a Cyclops crystal.

I think this watch, and bracelet look fine. You don鈥檛 give an indication of what you paid but I don鈥檛 suppose that it was particularly unreasonable. I鈥檇 happily wear it.

Thanks a lot guys! I'm a little embarrassed to state the price but it's around $675 US. I bought it from a seller on a popular Canadian watch website.

Hey that's not overpriced by any measures. Its a beautifull piece. When I sold one of mine it was for more. And no bracelet.

Dial and hands look fine. Date window facets are there just not plainly visible because of the overexposed photos.

Couldn鈥檛 see anything wrong with the dial. Assumed the OP was referring to the crystal

Thanks a lot Spruce, X350 XJR, Masterofkarate! I really appreciate the feedback and it makes me feel relieved about my newest acquisition. It was an impulse buy so thanks a lot!

It鈥檚 a nice example. I came close to pulling the trigger but prefer a linen dial. Seller was a gentleman, and was kind enough to take those movement shots for me, then posted them which I suspect facilitated your buying it. Enjoy it. It鈥檚 a great looking watch.

That's funny. Thanks. I asked for the closeup of the crown and observatory and you asked for pics of the movement. Nothing but good things to say about the seller as well. I look forward to enjoying the watch.

There is another seller on that forum who regularly sells vintage Omega watches including numerous Connies (usually pie pan dials) out of Vancouver. Nothing but the highest praise for him as well.
