It occurs to me that mine has no buckle holes, unlike an earlier one posted

I have to hook the hook over the bar before securing the safety clasp. Because I like my strap (any strap) to fit snuggly, I have trouble pulling the hook over the bar before engaging the safety clasp.

But you’re probably right - and it’s down to me

Well that explains it. The Omega Ti strap for the watch comes with a quick clasp that’s used after it’s adjusted.
Did that strap come with your watch?

No, I bought on eBay to wear on an old Certina. So that’s probably why ......

The clasp on Spruce's band is more like a 'normal' mesh band clasp - see also Alexey's post, where he points out that the Omega clasp is an odd one to put on a mesh band. Spruce's is similar to the clasp on the Forstner Komfit, which can also be a bit fiddly to close with only two hands, depending on where it lands on your wrist. I find that one easier to close when it is on a flat part of the wrist.

I was in an OB today dropping off my old 2254 for service. I got to try the NTTD on the Milanese and found it was not a good fit. The folding clasp caused the bottom of the strap to sit awkwardly on my 7" wrist. I happened to be wearing my Big Pilot today as well which made me think that the strap might have fit me better if installed backward (deployant side on the bottom of the watch) like the strap on my BP.

I also got to see a Snoopy in the flesh. The manager told me it was the only one they had received and it was to only be shown to those with deposits. Since I am in that category I got to play with it for a few minutes.

I'm in the same boat as many of you guys. Finally had a chance to try on the NTTD at the boutique this week after waiting over 2 months asking for them to get inventory in to show me. I had multiple opportunities to buy the watch at a deal on the grey market, but had major concerns with fitment since the Milanese bracelet had set holes. As I suspected after trying the watch on, I am in between hole sizes. The watch is either too tight or too loose on me. And I also agree that the clasp is super chunky. If you never wear long sleeves I think you are okay, but with long sleeves this would be a problem and just seems imbalanced.

I could potentially overlook these issues if the watch was priced around $6K but for $9K+ no way.

It's definitely an expensive watch for what you get. I agree that the clasp is a little chunky, but I still find it super comfortable. Have you tried in on the NATO?

I think I’d worry about spending a lot on a watch only to find the bracelet didn’t fit. I’d certainly be reluctant to wear my new $6K (?) on a NATO.

The arguable advantage of a 'no hole' Milanese, is that you can adjust it wherever it fits. Surely, if you’re blowing a bundle on a top range watch, the OB should be able to adjust the bracelet/holes?

Glad I got a nice 17% discount on mine so that it was easy to offload without losing any money. So disappointed that such a beautiful watch and bracelet don't work for those of us with wrists under 7".

Looking at Spike's picture, I think this watch is a perfect candidate for a Forstner Komfit. That clasp really builds up, and the band seems too stiff and doesn't conform well. Plus, as Spruce pointed out, not enough adjustability.

The NTTD bracelet was a bad fit for my 16cm wrist too.
I think the forth picture from Spikedlee above shows very nicely part of the issue: while the clasp is actually rounded the strap itself does not follow that curvature which leads to a gap. Also the strap is much thicker than e.g. a leather strap.
For comparison I add a photo of a leather strap.

I agree, it's the one part of the watch that I don't think is designed well. Especially for the price. Picked mine up this week used for what I consider to be a reasonable price, so I don't mind so much. I think they should have gone for a different solution on the clasp, because two thick ends of the bracelet plus the chunk of a folded clasp...that also has a mechanism in it for adjusting the length of the bracelet...makes for a bulk under your wrist. I do love it, don't get me wrong. It's a beautiful, unusual watch to look at. At full retail though, it's hard to justify.

Super disappointed with omega (and Daniel Craig) on this. I finally got around to trying this on last week on my 6.5 inch wrist. Fell in love with the watch BUT The strap was a hot mess with gaps and massive bulk. My sales guy tells me there is a shorter strap available and he can bring it in to try. The strap came in today so I was super excited and fully prepared to purchase it since buying from grey market didn't make sense because I needed to get the shorter strap. I go in and its a tad better but not much and is a complete deal breaker. It looked best on the 4th hole but then it was too tight, on the 5th hole it fit better but the gaps got worse. the bulk on the clasp is just not manageable and it looks ridiculous. They even tried to tell me to bend the clasp (after I purchase of course) and that would help lol. at this price point it should be perfect and I should not be bending anything. I dont know how you guys wear these and are not bothered. Well positive thing is I just saved 10k lol

I wonder if Daniel Craig had some comfort issues? I was scanning the NTTD movie and came across this scene where it seems like there's black padding fitted to the end of his bracelet.

At first I thought it was part of Q's gadget modification to the watch. But the previous scene (in Q's hands below) shows no such black padding on the end of the strap. Q's modifications were on the back side of the watch only.

In thinking about this more, that black covering would do nothing to aid in comfort. Because it's on the clasp end of the strap which sits on the outside. So it must've been there for some other reason.

Im left wondering what other reason it could be, and especially how the props/continuity people didn’t catch this in a scene centered on shots of the watch

That black covering is puzzling. If you look at it closely, there appears to be a disc shape embedded. But I really can't guess or imagine what it might be. 😕

Thus far I wear mine on the NATO strap of which I’ll buy a spare one to allow for regular rotation because of cleaning. I have yet to try the bracelet which I have but still in its vacuum wrap.
