Here is your new watch

I know this leaves a bit of money on the table but on this occasion the family all get a watch. Don鈥檛 worry, kids are getting a Seiko 馃槈

I seem to have an issue with watches and can鈥檛 seem to decide on one or even a very small 3 watch collection.... but, if I did and had to choose 1 omega it would be this

578e7374-75cc-4382-9b15-74c24ece7034_1589228447403-jpeg.15112299

38mm
Metas certified
Gorgeous blue dial
Date complication
Smart casual but also waterproof strap
150m water resistant
Has a transparent caseback so you can see some of the movement.
Simple, well proportioned and clean dial

truly exceptional movement all for less than 5k GBP. Also you can get a healthy discount on this one.

Plus you can dress it up easily with a leather strap.

I happen to think it looks incredible and a perfect one watch.

I would choose a speedmaster but it isn鈥檛 metas certified movement (1861), is quite big, looks best with hesalite which isn鈥檛 everyday practical, doesn鈥檛 have a date, is only 50m water resistant

Have been looking more at this model on the omega site, there are two very similar blues (at least they look similar on my computer) is there a big difference in real life? what is yur model number?

Edit i just noticed yours is a 38mm i was looking at 41mm

why not consider the new snoopy 3? i believe it is going to be a horologically important edition to speedmaster and to its history. Won't be easy to secure at this moment and if you are successful the lead time is going to be long,

i does not appeal to me, it looks to cartoonish for me, i guess that's what's great about having different choices, something for every taste

Yes there is a grey version and a blue version of this watch. The blue pops more to me.

38mm, I guess that鈥檚 personal preference. I picked it because it鈥檚 right inbetween classic dress watch 36mm and the larger sports watch at 40+.

If you had one watch, I wonder wether a large watch would work as well in a smart, suit, dinner suit situation. Granted I rarely if ever wear a suit these days, but it just feels like 38 might be the perfect middle ground between dress and sport for a 1 watch.
