I was thinking about getting the white dial with the black bezel but saw this one and decided to get it. Talking with the people at the boutique yesterday they mentioned that even though it is not going to be a limited/numbered edition it won’t be in the catalog permanently.
Since it's a new model, were you able to get a discount at the boutique or were they able to add in an extra strap? My experience with my boutique is that they offer straps or other watch accessories in lieu of discounts but I was wondering if they could also offer a rubber strap as I think it'd look beautiful on this model.

Thera was no discount but they mentioned a couple of goodies in the sale including a strap. I will see when I get the watch. I talked to them and It might be here at t the end of the month.

I ended up getting the blue dial version. The OB is adamant they are are "no-discount brand" but they did offer other incentives. I had a 2531.80 out for service that just happened to come back the same time I was talking about the new 300M. They comp'd the service on the 2531.80 and also threw in the strap case (and spring bar tool!) that you get when you buy a strap online. I had made a comment about how I bought a strap and clasp in store and didn't get squat, but if I had bought it online I would have gotten some nice extras. Overall I could have saved a few hundred bucks going through an AD and getting more of a discount, but I'm happy to keep the relationship going with the OB.

I too am happy to keep the relationship going with my OB! Did you mean you got the Beijing 2022 SMP?

No, I got the standard blue version. My other watch was back from service and I had this offer on the table to comp the service, so I just made the choice to go ahead with it and not worry about the white/blue Toyko 2020 version.

Obligatory picture...

Huh, interesting, they told usually they ask for 4K but for some reason that omega/swatch group told them that I could put anything down so they can see how many people really want to reserve a watch there or something!

I could have put down less but it doesn’t really make much difference to me. I put it on the Omega credit card and I could reverse it and do the full amount when delivered.

Omega credit card? Can you elaborate?
Omega boutiques in the US have credit cards where you can payoff your watch over 12 months ith 0% interest.

You can apply for an Omega CC at the boutique here in the U.S.. It's nice because you can get zero percent interest for a period of time to payoff the balance. I'm not sure if the CCs are available overseas or not....

Here in the USA, the Boutiques offer a credit card so you can finance your purchases. Depending on the amount you can get 12-24-36 months finance free if you pay it off before the term ends.

The thing is I thought they already released a 300M for the Tokyo Olympics. The blue dial with the steel bezel. This one

Has a Yachtmaster vibe to it...i like it though

It is not limited according to the USA website site. Just special edition and no mention about numbers of production.

Yeah, you're right, my bad. Although I am almost sure limitation was mentioned before. Either it was in my dreams or they changed it 😉

Sorry for misinformation anyway.
