DHL have just delivered this blue dial 300m chrono to me, something of an EBay impulse purchase.
The bezel and dial are not the rich blue I had imagined, the bezel insert being slightly bleached/grey/silvery and the dial being deeper/darker. It's an observation rather than a complaint and I'm sure I'll get used to it. After all dark blue is dark blue right?
No box or cards and Online search tools suggest a 2006 build.

The age on the aluminum bezel looks good. Definitely has the worn, used look which personally love about these divers. These are from the era when character and patina was a by product and 20+ years later it's interesting to see how different watches have aged with the amount of UV exposure and use.

Congrats on the pickup!

Congratulations that's a great looking timepiece with some normal patina. I agree with Vinz Clortho it's got character. I actually prefer the look of aluminum bezels compared to ceramic. Enjoy it for many years to come!

You should be able to order a new bezel if you want it. Not cheap--$300+ at this point--but it really jazzes up the look. I have new bezels on my 2541.80 and 2531.80.

And you don't have to have the movement serviced to get a new bezel. At least from an Omega certified independent watchmaker.

Thanks for that suggestion. This'll be day 2 on the wrist so I'll be introducing this watch to the timegrapher over the coming weekend; a quick check a little while ago suggest that it's in COSC in dial up and dial down but running out of COSC slow 3 up and 9 up. I do think it's too soon to tell and I'll be sure to give the watch plenty of winding today.

Looking at the depth of the markings I think that the bracelet clasp has had major polishing work, no harm there, the bracelet looks good overall. The case back is also very clean of dings and scuffs. I'm starting to think that I've bought a fairly genuine item rather than a tired old dog.

Congrats, that's a great pickup. Have you had a chance to check the chrono functions and timekeeping yet?

Thank you. All chrono functions are 100% and I shouldn't have bought it otherwise.

Accuracy/timekeeping? I expect the watch to score better over the timegrapher when fully charged up. At this stage after 24 hours on the wrist and several 30/60/90 minute stopwatch runs the watch is within COSC with the exception of 3 UP which is a few seconds out. In 4 positions dial up and down, 3 up and 9 up the timings are all slow and none fast which makes me think that regulating/adjusting the timings to bring dial up into a few seconds fast (currently -2SPD) should bring the 3 up measurement back into COSC.
