I am about to buy a bracelet, any feedback which you like more? As in the partly polished 3861 bracelet or the fully brushed?
Overall I like the fully brushed version more. The vintage 1479 bracelet is my favorite from Omega, and it is also fully brushed.

Thanks for the feedback. Nice to hear someone who had seen the new speedy on both bracelets and with hesalite no less. I am definitely thinking now to go for the semi polished at this point. You have any pictures btw of the hesa with the polished bracelet? Thanks

Sorry for the delayed response. I had it on a leather strap, and I didn't have any good photos handy. Plus, it really needed a bath.

Anyway, I threw it back on the bracelet and tried to get a shot that showed the shiny bits. Now, I just need to figure out how to upgrade to the new clasp.

I got a new Hesalite watch last week and in my excitement didn’t check for the adjustable clasp. If I want to, will AD be able to sort just the clasp or would I need to buy a full new bracelet once available? Thanks

Did you pick up the 3861 sapphire bracelet with the hesalite? In any case; call today and tell them your disappointed, let them propose a solution; good luck!

Fratello Robert Jan comment:

"Yes, I have an update. It seems the boutiques weren’t fully aligned yet and spare parts weren’t properly communicated yet. The new folding clasp will be available as a “kit”, meaning it will have everything you need to make it fit your Speedmaster Professional 2021/2022 version. It will take a bit longer though, before everything is ready and communicated."

This is good news if true. I want the new clasp so I’ve been following this pretty closely. Got a bit discouraged because people were saying they could order the clasp but not the necessary link to actually fit it to the bracelet. I just hope this “kit” isn’t too expensive.

The "kit" is essentially just the new clasp and 2 connecting links, can't imagine it will be too expensive.

I respect Omega for making it easy to order parts though, unlike some of their competitors 🙄

You may not need an adjustable clasp, you may find the perfect fit by removing some links. I've had dozens of bracelet watches and it was always a 'set and forget' exercise, I never felt the need to be able to adjust it after that. If it fits, it fits. See how you go with the current setup, it might be fine for you. We are getting way to obsessed over a clasp with a 2.5 mm adjustment, imo.

I used to think this as well...then I got an IWC that has a pushbutton adjust (from the outside, you don't even need to open it) and I LOVE it. So comfortable when you have infinite adjustment.

That's easy to say, if your watch doesn't flop around on your wrist for half the day.

It certainly couldn't hurt to get a feel for how the bracelet fits with the old clasp. Maybe you're one of the lucky ones who don't need the adjustable version. But I'm personally looking forward to upgrading mine, so I can conveniently get a perfect fit all day long.

If the 2.5 mm half link adjustment gives you a perfect fit, great. Never had a watch that would flop around part of the day and fit perfectly the rest, but every one's metabolism is different.

I think the biggest tragedy in this is Omega not offering a clasp upgrade for the older speedmaster pros

IWC make a heckuva bracelet. Sinn's fine link is surprisingly good also, though no adjustability. Longines has a similar system now and it is a breeze to use.

The Tokyo Olympic line of Speedmasters are 1861 movements and have the same bracelet style as the regular 1861, but with the adjustable clasp. Look up the watch model and ask your AD or OB to make sure that it fits and order just the clasp.

Do you not have the watch in hand?

My local OB told me Omega doesn't have the part number available for the clasp upgrade "yet" but it will be made available in the future.

Has anyone ordered the bracelet recently?

When I ordered one a month ago I was told they should have it in a week or so, but I'm still waiting, don't know if its just a local issue or globally the demand is too high.

I have watched a few too many videos and read a few too many articles on the new bracelet perhaps...

Yes I bought one of the new bracelets about 2 to 3 weeks ago via a boutique. I'm in the UK. They had both the fully brushed and polished versions.
