Wow, I bought the hesalite version with the bracelet for £5350 in January 2022. I could've gotten the sapphire one for less than what they're selling the hesalite for now.

IMHO you purchased the right one. Enjoy!

I’m interested in the new clasp for my 3861 but it seems like one tiny quick micro adjustment isn’t really worth the price? Curious to see others opinions once they have it in hand

I bought the “new” bracelet tonight. A small but definitely meaningful improvement. I opted for fully brushed since I already have the polished/brushed from buying the sapphire 3861.

Nice one! Looks fantastic.
To be clear, you bought the brushed bracelet, meaning the one intended for the hesalite 3861. Does it have the new push button micro-adjust in the clasp? Or does it have the old two-hole system?

Thanks,
-GW

Yes I got the all brushed with the upgrade clasp. All Speedy Pros now come with the upgraded clasp. Still sapphire with the polished/brushed and Hesalite with the all brushed.

The ref 117Z017553 is effectively the chronoscope clasp (ref 117STZ013899) packaged with the needed attachement link. Which is now standard on the Speedy Pro.

That's great to hear.....I ordered the chronoscope clasp at an AD and it was a nightmare because it didn't come with the needed link that is tapered (118STZ013110).....AD told me to go see OB....went to the OB and they told me that Omega is no longer taking orders for the tapered link.....

The AD made it right and was able to swap the unused Chronoscope clasp for an Omega Deployant clasp that will be using for an incoming leather strap from Genteel....

I'll wait to order 117Z017553 at the OB till we see somebody posting it came with the needed tapered link...

Crazy isn't it. Pretty much doubled from the older 1861 movement

It is indeed practically double. I bought my 1861 Hesalite in 2016 for £2,850 near enough. I cannot honestly say that in 5/6 years this has somehow become twice the quality of watch worthy of doubling in price.

Maybe Speedmasters were always just undervalued watches and they've finally reached the point/price point Omega wanted them to be at relative to their competitors.

I did find it weird for a long time how even just 10 years ago you could buy Speedmasters for practically about £1,600.

I am about to buy a bracelet, any feedback which you like more? As in the partly polished 3861 bracelet or the fully brushed?

Pure personal preference. Some like the buttoned down look of the all brushed version, others like the extra flash of the polished links. Also depends on what particular watch it is going on, the standard black dial or another model with a different dial?

Frustrating as I only got my 3861 Hesalite in August from my AD without a micro adjustment.

Has anyone been able to purchase the sapphire sandwich bracelet with the new clasp (without buying the watch)?

Someone on a local forum has:

https://www.horlogeforum.nl/t/omega-only-deel-3/359915/3554?u=yy77

And @watchstick_81 has also posted measurements of the clasp over there:

https://www.horlogeforum.nl/t/speedmaster-only-iv/408069/1153?u=yy77

Brushed 020Z017488 (760€, recommended retail price)
Polished 020Z017493 (760€, recommended retail price)

What about the clasp without the bracelet?
Haven't seen it yet but my understanding is the loose new clasp doesn't have the connecting link and because of different measurements to the "old" bracelet it wound fit without modification.

Well it's going to be going on my 3861 Speedmaster Professional Hesalite. I got it on the strap as it surprisingly cheaper ordering it that way if wanting both strap and bracelet.

I know the hesalite normally comes with the all brushed. Funny enough I am considering going for the partly polished bracelet simply as it usually is not a option on the Hesalite. The all brushed looks really nice in pictures however.

Hmm I’m swinging by an AD tomorrow already. I’ll have to ask about this. Maybe they’ll have some I stock or at least available to order.

The new clasp seems not to have made it to Paris yet …

I bought my hesalite 3861 on the strap knowing I'd pick up the polished version of the bracelet. I absolutely love it. It really highlights the polished bits in the case.

Where did you find the new clasp? U.S.?
