Has anyone gotten the smaller size? I'm considering one but the normal bracelet didn't work at all for me, and I'm very curious if the shorter one actually does fix the problem.

Can I ask what size your wrist is?

I was in an OMEGA boutique today and tried on the regular sized milanese bracelet, thinking it was going to fit too uncomfortably. I was so impressed with the fit on my 6.88 inch / 17.5cm wrist I’m now definitely having one!

I have not tried on one but I’m considering. My AD discouraged me though as they didn’t think its worth it (usd 1600++). Once you order cannot return too. And I need to sell the standard piece which may be hard to find buyer

Looks great on you! My wrist is around 6.75", but something with the shape of it must be what's really preventing the watch from sitting correctly. I tried on two different models at an OMEGA boutique (one with the new modified bracelet, one with the original one), and they sat exactly the same way and had a big "bubble" on the inside of my wrist that meant didn't come close to sitting flush.

The boutique said they can order it for me from the get-go with the shorter piece, so that's not a concern for me. I just don't want to spend nearly $2k for the version on the bracelet if it won't fit regardless of which size I get.

Thanks for mentioning this information about a new modified bracelet. I’m going to contact the OMEGA boutique I visited yesterday to establish which version I tried on.

Did the boutique you tried the watches on explain what the difference was between the two milanese bracelets?

Asked if the boutique here in Singapore could order it with the shorter strap and they said no - only option is to buy it on Nato then order the bracelet separately. Is it normal that some countries can customize the sets while others can't? I would assume that if they have an SKU with the shorter bracelet they'd just make it available globally..

I'm in Singapore too and I was told the same thing. Nonsense imo.

The shape of your wrist plays an important role in how this bracelet fits. Yes, shorter bracelet length helps, but it is still possible to have weird gaps due to the deployant not sitting properly (close to the center of the wrist). Omega needs to make a shorter version of this clasp as well, not just the bracelet. Remember, all the steel and ceramic deployants come in both short and regular length. If you have a rounder wrist, the short deployants fit better than regular.

i was thinking about this issue too! Does anyone have the length of the NTTD deployment clasp please?

The shorter bracelet is 2cm smaller than the regular one (1cm each side). This is what the service center from Omega Tokyo replied. And i need to bring my watch in order to place an order for it (they do not take my order w/o bringing the watch). Anyhow is much cheaper to buy the watch on nato and then get separately the mesh bracelet

I do believe it's the other way around. It's cheaper to buy it on the mesh. Buying the nato separately isn't as anywhere near expensive as paying for the titanium mesh on its own.

Mine came in today, and it's an improvement, but not perfect. I now think the biggest issue for me wasn't the length of the regular bracelet, but the length of the clasp and the way it sits, and this hasn't been changed. This is also bad luck and not as much a criticism of the bracelet as it is just an unfortunate issue because of the size of my wrist, but the ideal length for me is in between holes -- it either fits well but is a touch too tight or is a touch too lose and the weird gap/"loop" on the 6-o'clock side of my wrist that was my big issue with the standard bracelet returns. My conclusion is that I'll just deal with it -- it's an awesome watch and the bracelet doesn't ruin it for me, but I think it's fair to say that this bracelet isn't Omega's greatest design.

Thanks for the update. May I ask how long ago you placed the order?

usually yes, but for whatever reason for this model on the nato strap you get in Tokyo 15-20% discount while for the bracelet no discount (or even higher price than retail on the grey marker). So i am going to get mine on nato, and go in the weekend to omega to try the regular mesh bracelet and decide which one to get (i have 16cm wrist)

I hate this bracelet. A Milanese is supposed to be light and comfortable. This one looks like an armor. The clasp and the overlap of the clasp is very uncomfortable (to me) not only when just placing my arm on a desk but it kept getting caught on things. Fortunately I didn't buy it, just had a friend swap his with one of my watches for a couple of days.
