Understood. In the end, I was trying to avoid sending basically a brand new watch to Switzerland for months.
It will probably get sold to someone else - I'm guessing the dealer could maybe sell it as a used watch for more than retail - not sure as I don't follow the market for these closely...

He may have his watchmaker make an adjustment. I do like that this dealer has some skin in the game. Most just stick you with the problem.

I hope he discloses that when he sells it on.

Just FYI, these watches are designed to be wound daily.

And that’s how easy it is. 🤔

He strikes me as ethical, so I imagine he will. Is the 321b really that esoteric that it can only go to Switzerland? I understand parts can be hard to come by, but is this a challenging movement to adjust?

Only for Omega to keep the fairytale alive of the dedicated workshop when they set the price for the 321 in 2019.

Unless he is certified to do warranty work on behalf of Omega, he would be voiding the warranty by working on it.

Are 321b's esoteric? No - I service them all the time. The narrative that Omega spins on these is to create a halo kind of product. The nonsense about the scanning of an original watch being needed, the fact that each watch is assembled by one watchmaker, that repairs can only be done in Bienne - these are just marketing ploys that people eat up like candy.

Watchmakers all over the world disassemble and reassemble 321's every day without issue. It's a bog standard chronograph - nothing elaborate or special in any way from a watchmaking standpoint. Assembling one of these using new parts would be a dream job compared to trying to get worn out beat up old 321's running satisfactorily...
