I like new waves. These old waves on the dial are not as nice…
What’s wrong with the old waves?

I passed Regent street this morning so decided to stop and have a quick look at it.
Looks pretty sweet, very understated from the front which is what all the best Bond watches have in common, love the fact that its non-date too, easier to wear in rotation and I feel like Omega has sort of realised that with many collector pieces which is why they’re doing more non-date special pieces.

It's very nice, but I'm not overwhelmed by it. The caseback animation is super cool, but I wonder if it's more gimmick than a must have for me.

The NTTD was much more ground breaking IMHO. Having a hard time justifying in my head if it's worth adding this one. I think I'd rather get a Brosnan original for far less money and have the real deal rather than a tribute.

If it had been a 60s era reissue, as @QBranch had hoped, I'd be way more enthusiastic about getting one.

This is a spot on take. I was excited when it came up, watched all the videos, checked all the specs. But, for me, the NTTD is just so unique. The faux patina, the titanium and the subtle Bond reference makes that the best watch. I can see a lot of people opting for that one instead. They’ve told me that will slowly go out of production, my worry with the new one is it becomes like the snoopy. I agree, getting a classic Brosnan or the Casino Royale Seamaster is the way to go.

Yes but they only have it until Monday.

I like the subtle detail of the waves being upside down compared to other Seamasters.

Not in love with the waves on this new release. Just give me a no-date 212.30.41.20.03.001 on the mesh bracelet and I'm in.

Wondering if the new mesh fits on this or if anyone has pictures of it

Yea it’ll fit as they’re all 20mm lugs except for the new 43.5mm versions.

This isn’t the Omega mesh but its a close aftermarket so you get the idea.

What’s the best Brosnan era SM?
The 2254.50 if you are following the herd, the 2230.50 Non-AC if you have true taste! The 2531.80 comes a distant third really. 😗

It depends. If you want a Brosnan Bond Seamaster, I prefer the models he actually wore in the movies. In which case there's only 2 options, the GoldenEye 2541.80 (Quartz) or the 2531.80 (Automatic) worn in his other 3 movies.

All the design elements of past Bond Omega's integrated into the design. When the classic waves SMP makes out with the Spectre and NTTD Omega, boom, you get the 60th Anniversary watch 😜

2531.80 with Omega Mesh next to the NTTD
If I were to buy the 60yrs, I'd do the opposite and put the standard SMP bracelet on it (assuming it fits). The mesh makes it look too similar to my NTTD.

Otherwise, I'd wear it on the NATO, which I think looks great!

This thread has got me really wanting a 2531.80. I’m a Goldeneye kid / Brosnan fan and that picture Scarecrow posted is killing me. Price range should even be doable for me in the not too distant future without my wife killing me. The new one is very nice but a bit out of my range at the moment. Damn you OF…

Just noticed that the waves on the old one goes across the entire dial. The new one not so much.

Oh dont get me wrong, my goal if/when I get the 60th is to attempt to fit the standard SMP bracelet on it. To me that is the how it should've been all along. This was just to show that the mesh fits the 2531.80

I definitely don't like that I like this. And, I despise thinking about how it might look good, on my wrist, on an admiralty grey nato.
