New Bond watch

I just rang several U.K. based Omega boutiques. All wouldn’t specifically comment on a new watch for the 60th anniversary of James Bond - 4 said we don’t get that info this early, another said it was likely and they’d probably have more info soon, and then one actually took my details down and said they’d add me to a waiting list for the Bond watch. So, the question is, what do we actually know???!!! And who has the best guess as to what it might be? SMP? SM300 classic? AT? Planet Ocean?

It's possible the one that added you to the waiting list was for the NTTD.

Ha imagine that!! But they’re easily available on the omega website. Ps I have one and it easily could have been the 60th anniversary watch

There is a Bond watch coming for the 60th anniversary. Due out Oct/Nov but I've not heard more than that. No idea which specific range it will sit in.

They have so much choice but I have a feeling it will be a homage to the relationship and Brosnan 1995

My money is also on the SMP. Omega clearly wanted to establish that as Bond's watch not only during the Brosnan era, but also by book ending Craig's tenure with it in Casino Royale and NTTD.

I just hope it's not full of 007 branding like the 40th & 50th Anniversary Bond watches.

Whatever it is, the NTTD will be a tough act to follow.

The NTTD is the first Bond tie in I have seriously considered buying. The rest were to my eye awful buggerations on the original SMP.

I considered it so seriously in fact, I actually did buy one and it has joined my other 4 (non Bond themed ) SMPs. For now it will remain in my rotation but I find the sword hands SMP the high water mark of the SMP, the no wave and latest larger models are not to my taste at all. The NTTD is rather different, but I can forgive it if I pretend it is a different thing altogether! It has more of the 2201.50 PO vibe about it, not a bad thing in fact.

The NTTD is the ultimate Bond watch for me. Lovely patina, light, amazing loom. There’s something so unique and wonderful about it

I'm thinking It'll be a white dial seamaster. Fingers crossed for another titanium watch from them but it may be ceramic to help highlight the other ceramic models. Just wish they'd release some info on it, passed up a few no time to die watches to keep the budget for the 60th anniversary version. Really hoping its something interesting and not horrifically bond taxed. Will be gutted if the new bond watch is disappointing and have to wait ages to find a NTTD in budget

It might come out as soon as the best two weeks. In london the 60th anniversary celebrations begin on the weekend of 1st October. Not sure about white seamaster - I’m thinking something Goldeneye esque. As for the NTTD, it’s the best watch I own. I wouldn’t wait to pull the trigger on it. Loads available at £1k less on chrono or other preferred jewellers pre owned. Do it. Amazing watch

They’ve shared several posts about the NTTD referencing global James Bond day which makes me think no new watch.

Yes, but that's what I meant, it seems no new watch to mark 60 years.🤔

Bit of an own goal here if not, how we I did ring WOS last week and one took my name down for the new Bond watch. The others said there’s no list. Tbh this watch could’ve easily been the 60th anniversary one. I love my NTTD. It’s so unique. The other issue could be Bond moving to a new brand with a new actor / film? Have a feeling Tudor would be that option.

Tudor will only be that option if they pony up like Omega is doing now.
