502 to right
路A few years I bought a brand new Bond bracelet (1503/825) through my AD for any of my Bond Seamasters (2541.80, 2531.80, 2220.80) with the idea that I would get one of them serviced by Omega and then put on the new bracelet to turn back the clock on this iconic classic. But then I kept putting off getting one of them serviced so the bracelet sat unused.
Well I finally sent the 2541.80 off to get a full service with a new bezel, new dial, new hands, new crowns, and new gaskets. I will basically have a new looking SMP come back to me. In effect I will have a time machine back to 1995 on my wrist. So now is the time to pair it with the new bracelet.
But here's the problem--a couple of links are tightly bound to one another so it does not naturally drape around my wrist. Almost like a kink. I can press on the links to flatten them out but they don't want to smooth out on their own.
Constantly wearing the bracelet will cause the links to loosen up over time. But is there something I can do to fix the issue right away? Lubricate the connection points? If so, with what? Should I constantly work the links back and forth with my fingers? The tightness is both between some of the removable links and some of the non-removable links.
Any advice would be welcome.
