New Bond watch

It’s a special watch. Omega changed the mesh bracelet for me and provided the shorter one which makes such a big difference in my opinion. This watch is incredible - the aluminium bezel is special. I tried it on the NATO in store as well and thought it looked good. But I think keeping it on mesh is the best option.

Same for me. It was a game changer and the mesh is pretty comfortable now.

Good for you!! I am happy to defend the unfairly-maligned bracelet all day long! I think it is a spectacular piece of engineering and comfort.

I finally bought the bracelet last Saturday! Unfortunately, they didn’t have the proper spring bars.🙁

The ones used on the mesh aren't the same?

No, the ones on the mesh are thinner.

I'll await your pic when you get it on. I might go and do the same thing!

Idk if anyone knows this yet but with the Paris 2024 collection they released a white rubber strap for Seamaster and I paired it to my 60th 😀

Paying it forward.

That NATO looks great. I’m not sure if the 60th is a strap monster like the NTTD but I do think it looks great on a blue and white NATO.

Finally, mission accomplished!

Between my travel schedule and the logistics of acquiring the bracelet and the spring bars, I didn’t expect this to take so long

back in May, one OB had the bracelet, which I snatched, but not the spring bars. Fortunately, another OB had them during the same trip back in May. However, I wasn’t expecting success on either count and didn’t have the watch with me during the trip!

During this trip, I was able to finally have the OB make the transition! Quite pleased with the outcome!

The NTTD is the first Bond tie in I have seriously considered buying. The rest were to my eye awful buggerations on the original SMP.

I considered it so seriously in fact, I actually did buy one and it has joined my other 4 (non Bond themed ) SMPs. For now it will remain in my rotation but I find the sword hands SMP the high water mark of the SMP, the no wave and latest larger models are not to my taste at all. The NTTD is rather different, but I can forgive it if I pretend it is a different thing altogether! It has more of the 2201.50 PO vibe about it, not a bad thing in fact.
Now that’s a collection I’d love to see!

I prefer it on the traditional bracelet for sure - and that domed crystal is gorgeous. Bit of an odd choice by Omega given the original Pro models had an almost flat crystal but can't deny how great that one looks.

This looks lovely. It is the new quick release version, right? And are you wearing the regular length foldover variant?

I fumbled, I was out of the country for about two weeks just got back, checked my voicemail, lo and behold they called me to let me know my watch came in… June 27th. Lololol. What’s funny is that I checked other omega boutiques outside the country and realized that they were out too.

So they clearly sold that watch, my go to guy at the OB was out on vacation, I was going to follow with him about being put back on the list and he calls me, I was expecting the similar “sold out” which would had given me time to buy it, but I was blindsided when he told me that they had one for me. Today.

I honestly bought a blue submariner just for the bracelet, so I can swap it like others have done with the Bond 60th. My sales guy told me that Omega extended their warranty and now covers accidental damage and it’s valid on the pieces I bought a few years ago. I used to know the general manager a while back but I guess they got a new one and runs his store like a Rolex shop by calling important clientele over seniority on the wait list. In between the end of June and now they sold three Bond 60th’s watches.
