Finally saw one at my local AD (although the AD are very rude and as much as want to spend money in my town - I won’t with them). Obviously as not currently buying I couldn’t handle (understandable) but is lovely in the flesh more subdued than online, and if Omega produced this without the MoD markings as their retro looking Seamaster & at a lower price point I reckon a hell a seller.

With the day off, shot into the OB nearby for a few min while my wife was in Nordstrom. My SA said hey, check this out and pulled out the NTTD on bracelet. Dealer offered to include the Ti nato strap at no cost. I couldn't just say yes...but I thought it looked great. It's quite a brown piece in the OB lighting; the dial looks more brown than the official pics suggest. Lightweight and a fun piece, too.

Is that the OB in WA state ? Asking because I've been to that one when my partner was in the Nordstrom next door haha

Omega has redesigned the mesh on parts of the bracelet, in particular the endlinks and the solid endlink where the buckle is. Everything else stays the same. Apparently this is due to some people having broken theirs in these places. I guess its less movie accurate now....

The mesh breaking on some, hence the redesign as mentioned in my previous post above.

I guess I have the old version of the mesh

Nothing wrong with the original version, it's more movie accurate.

Its just worrying though that some have broken theirs as seen in my previous post, so much so that Omega has to redesign it to make it stronger. Its crazy how those parts broke off clean. For a watch at this price, that's just ridiculous for it to break like that.

Pretty embarrassing really. I would be dead terrified if I had the old bracelet now.

Some owners I know have already contacted Omega for a one to one exchange with the new one and Omega has granted the exchange.

I just called Omega Spain, the headquarters of THE SWATCH GROUP ESPAÑA SA, and they don't know the news, they haven't been told anything from Switzerland.

Wow - first they decided a $9000 watch didn't need anti-reflective coating on both sides of the crystal (it very much does), that a movie tie-in didn't need any interesting extras in the package, and now breaking bracelets. I'm really starting to feel that Omega is phoning it in a bit these days :/

Definitely a design flaw that wasn't thought out or even tested before being put out into production for sale. I'm no metal expert but judging by the breakage, the weakest part looks to be the part where the mesh is welded onto the straight endlink tube which I presume is also titanium. I guess its just not strong enough to support the mesh.

Omega needs to make this issue be known. Many owners out there who are wearing it with the original mesh without knowing that it could break at any moment. God forbid it breaks while on the wrist. Current owners with the original mesh should replace it soon before it breaks.

I’m sure he used the watch to blow something up before the strap had the chance to break.

A 9000 dollar watch and the bracelet breaks in a few weeks of use. That's terrible.

This is just my opinion but I think Omega would sell more "bond" watches if they stopped making them limited edition. I know I started looking at Omega after seeing the watch on a bond movie, but it was limited edition, over priced and more difficult to find. I never bought it.

^ This Bond watch isn't limted edition, just "limited production"
They're already sitting out on Boutique shelves.
