Hello all members.

In my opinion, one of the most desirable omega seamaster will be the “black” “hobnail” seamaster.

My research found most of this pattern will be ref.2577 with cal.354.
The good examples were owned by the members in this forum’s like @cristos71 , @Mods, @Furze and @MtV

However, some of them can be found in the uncommon hooded lugs (ref.14350), plus the seamaster date at six (likely ref.2757) owned by @MSNWatch.

Recently, I have just acquired seamaster with uncommon black hobnail dial in a steel case.
The reference was 2577-11, steel case with gold hardware.
The movement number was 14,125,xxx with caliber 354.
The steel case was some polished in the past.
I believe that the crown is not the period correct “clover” crown?
Only flat feet version needed to be the correct one? Please shed some light.

If you are interested in omega ref.2577, please don’t miss this very nice thread created by @MtV

@MtV has noted nearly 60 examples with serials and some details.
In that table, the highest movement number was 13,962,093. As discussed with him, however there might be well be 14m ones. My watch could be one example of ref.2577 with the movement number 14m?

However, I found this ref.2577/2520 (by @Bill Sohne ) with an uncommon below center pinion Seamaster with the movement as high as 14,311,218.
Please note that the caseback of this watch (highest movement) would be the circular groove with brushing, not the “bubble back” case.

Thanks M, know I fully understand all the fuss about hobnail dials 🥰
