I actualy noticed it with a naked eye! That's what is bugging me!
Then i zoomed in with the phone and unfortunately confirmed it.
I've been very careful in getting one with an aligned bezel, as i've seen many where it is not the case. My bezel is spot on.
But after a week i discovered these misaligned indexes, and saw that it is also a topic on several forums for that watch. 😵💫
Maybe @Archer could advise if this is claimable to omega as a "dial defect"?
OP, every Seamaster Diver 300M I have seen has some sort of QC issue. It’s normal. Mine has a misaligned hour hand. 4 other examples I saw have misaligned bezels, lume issues, an HE valve that doesn’t close all the way, misaligned indexes, etc.
It’s normal. If you want perfection, get a Grand Seiko, or go over $30K in Swiss options.
I guess you're unfortunately right. No matter which SMP i look in the displays, there is almost always something "wrong". Or at least wrong to me ^^
Mine has also this ~1.5min hour hand misalignment, but i saw here and there that it seems to be within tolerances.
My Grand Seiko SBGJ227 "Peacock" is indeed perfect and says hi 😀
It seems to me that in this modern era, Omega makes mass-produced watches with relatively loose QC specs, and there is a massive disconnect with the unrealistic expectations of buyers who consider it to be a "luxury" brand". Every day, new people come to this forum to belly-ache about it.
