Where's the brown leather strap?!! You got the chill vibe going with the shirt, just gotta swap the office bracelet for the relaxed strap.

Don't forget you've got a ****load of dibs in case you get bored with it...

Excellent stuff @eugeneandresson!!! I love racing dials!!! (not sure about that dodgy shirt tho! Haha!)

I can't even find time to get one of my 3 project watches into the sonic tank, never mind put back together, so lots of credit on getting yours completed and looking awesome!!

Another thought, it's beautiful on the front, so what about seeing the beautiful movement on the back too with an exhibition back?

Found another…

If any of these I have found on the ‘gram, feel free to claim them with more pics.

Not mine, unfortunately.

An attractive dial, no doubt. Makes me want one even more.

The bezel is a bit distracting. It's difficult for me to believe that wasn't purposely made to look aged. The scratches are consistent around the whole area, as opposed to one side or the other, and they are circular, which is what would happen if a person ran sand paper around the circular bezel.

I likes my patina random and natural.

Great strap though.

This folks, is what being a member here does to those who are able to ‘learn to fish’…#pedantry 😀

But I do agree 100%.

I was completely converted by this thread, after a month or so searching and haggling for the right Mark II, and then another searching for a decent case, I put together my own homage to @eugeneandresson 's watch. At some point I may change the bezel for something a little more vintage, add a sapphire caseback or a flat foot crown, but for now it's getting a lot of wrist time! It was the thin hour and minute hands that pushed me over the edge, thanks to @eugeneandresson for the shove!

Well done! And yet another awesome variation of hands on these models 👍 This has been my ‘go to’ Speedy since the completion of this project…

Only just seen this thread….yes that’s mine above. Good spot on the bezel. I was trying for an aged look with one I had - this is what was on originally - see pic…I just had a load of spare parts over the years sitting in drawers and brought them together for my Racing homage (and I can’t justify ever paying what is being asked for the originals )
I’ve gone back to this bezel for now. It’s a bit of fun for me and I love wearing it. Gets comments for sure. And NFS!!!

This thread brings up the old issue of patina vs damage. To each their own.
