Hello everyone, in my collection I have two Seamaster 300 2913-3 that will soon be given to the Italian master watchmaker Aldo Feruglio for a nice restoration without affecting the vintage obviously that in themselves have the watches (the plexy glass obviously but recover it if possible). My idea is to do a double job leaving one with the ring manually rebuilt by Aldo Feruglio, to be used with the 7077 steel bracelet, while the other leave it without a ring, with omega brown leather strap and omega coeva buckle (as in the photo). What would you advise me, would you have the ring rebuilt on both watches or not? Also to lengthen the steel bracelet by 1-2 cm, would you recommend trying to look for some additional mesh (even if difficult) of the Flat 7077, or would you simply put an extender of the bracelet clasp? Do you have any advice to give me? Thank you very much to those who will answer.

Welcome. I love the 2913, too, and hope to see your watches when they are finished. I think my favorite thing about these is that they so rarely turn up in outstanding condition. Most of them were worn hard and probably spent time underwater, unlike most contemporary dive watches. Finding a nice original dial on these is a challenge. Again, good luck on your projects.

The one on the left with the leather strap in the photo was my grandfather's and I assure you that it is in exceptional condition, I am not using it before the restoration as recommended by Aldo, and I can't wait to have everything at home (I am waiting for the brown leather omega bracelet purchased online from the jewellery store), to give everything in the hands of Aldo. I'm also curious to have everything after the restoration and I'll certainly republish the photos... I'm always in doubt about whether to rebuild them to both or just to one of the two to have the double solution 😅
