Ah yes, the one entirely in England 😗

But only a few metres south of the Antonine 😉

Live in Central Texas, and am Texan born and bred, but I have a Smiths watch, two Webley revolvers, three Enfield rifles, a long time appreciation for both the Beatles and Monty Python, a life long love of British history and British literature, and good friends who live in Yorkshire.

Does that count for something?

This is getting confusing - are you inside or outside all of these different walls?

Not from UK. Nice to see so many folks chime in here. My grandparents lived in London (Hounslow) and I’d spend a few weeks every year visiting them. Very fond memories, reading through here makes me want to go back and visit.

You deserve honorary status, especially as a fellow A361 owner...!

As long as supplies of The Glenlivet [*] can get south, by sea if necessary, it doesn't matter.

I'm quite partial to haggis too but that can be made anywhere.

[*] I was going to include a reference to their web site but it suggests mixing The Glenlivet with plum-flavoured sake and adding fruit slices 😲 😲 😲 So I won't.

Caithness? Whereabouts, I grew up in Thurso, left with family at fifteen then Essex for three years and then Hampshire pretty much ever since.
Do you know Disco Dave? David Morris. Lived on a farm in Thurso. Looked like Garth from Wayne's world but a better guitar player. He hung around with three other people called Dave. You must know him there are only 7000 odd people in Thurso.

I know the strain of lockdown 2.0 has taken its toll on everyone - but I didn't think you'd gone ahead and had the sex-change.
Pretty good job they've made of it. 👍

welcome @Omega18
I'm in Yorkshire too - Leeds - but hail from just below the THE Roman wall (nobody counts the Antonine wall -not even the Romans - since it was mainly made of grass!)

Pre-pandemic we had quite a few Yorkshire GTGs - which, once we all get the jab, hopefully we can start up again

I'm not sure you've actually said where you are in the country?

I think I’m a little older than you realise! I was fifteen in 1962 and disco was a good few years in the future. The main musical highlight I remember is when Robin Hall and Jimmie Macgregor came to play at the Town Hall at the bottom end of Traill Street. The layout is all changed now.

I’m a Brit (Cheshire) now living in Ireland - so near but so far in lockdown. Must be getting homesick as I’ve bought a couple of Smiths watches to add to my collection!

And boy have you done well! A pleasure to see a fellow Smiths enthusiast here. There are a few of us here - are you on MWR?
