·Not from UK. Nice to see so many folks chime in here. My grandparents lived in London (Hounslow) and I’d spend a few weeks every year visiting them. Very fond memories, reading through here makes me want to go back and visit.

As long as supplies of The Glenlivet [*] can get south, by sea if necessary, it doesn't matter.
I'm quite partial to haggis too but that can be made anywhere.
[*] I was going to include a reference to their web site but it suggests mixing The Glenlivet with plum-flavoured sake and adding fruit slices 😲 😲 😲 So I won't.

I'm in Yorkshire too - Leeds - but hail from just below the THE Roman wall (nobody counts the Antonine wall -not even the Romans - since it was mainly made of grass!)
Pre-pandemic we had quite a few Yorkshire GTGs - which, once we all get the jab, hopefully we can start up again
I'm not sure you've actually said where you are in the country?

·Do you know Disco Dave? David Morris. Lived on a farm in Thurso. Looked like Garth from Wayne's world but a better guitar player. He hung around with three other people called Dave. You must know him there are only 7000 odd people in Thurso.
