Suffolk here. That's the county in the centre of the "pig's arse" which sticks out into the North Sea.

I guess you assumed a thread aimed at UK members would not know where Suffolk was?

It’s because of our wonderful magical apple juice 😉

Oh I know where Suffolk is, it's a ten minute walk from here, just over the extinct railway line. Buuuut, despite spending a lot of time in Wales when I was a youngster I'm not at all sure where the counties are now they've been renamed in Welsh. Scotland I'm a bit better at having lived there for a while in Caithness. Northern Ireland no idea, never been there but the southern part of the Republic I'm quite good at from vacations.

Something I noticed a few years ago is that maps that used to use county borders for orientation no longer do so, it's gone to Motorways. That confuses me 'cos we only have 1 in East Anglia (the M11, and bits of A1(M) I suppose). There were only Ms 1-6 when I learned to drive and I don't know these new ones.

Caithness? Whereabouts, I grew up in Thurso, left with family at fifteen then Essex for three years and then Hampshire pretty much ever since.

Thurso, while I was working at Dounreay. Not the part where the clever people worked, I was an apprentice on the PFR construction site. Seven days a week! I came back with enough overtime pay to buy an Austin-Healey 😁

Rotbox it was 😲

Near Bourne? Excellent motor racing connections there -- ERA, BRM, Pilbeam.
